List your current six favorite songs, then pick six other people that have to do the same.
Well, I won't be picking anyone to carry this on, but my favorites:
1. (favorite of all time) tie between The Juliana Theory - Everything (love IS everything.) & Beloved - Death to Traitors (how many times can you change the tempo of a song within one sentence?)
2. tie between Acceptance - Gloria (Us Appearing) and Keane - She has no time (best mournful piano solo in the history of mankind.)
3. Copeland - You have my Attention (You have my attention / like you've had all the while / from the first day when you made my heart smile)
4. UnderOath - Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape (2:35 into the song. That's a scream.)
5. Blindside - Where The Sun Never Dies ("I'll
see You on that day / when I walk those last steps Your way".
Christian can really write a song that lets you visualize the end of
days.)
6. Norma Jean - Memphis will be laid to waste (heavy. hard. norma jean.)

I took my almost 2 week old car apart last night.. I ripped out the molding around the shifter, the escutcheon, and the entire center console to install a box that lets me use my MP3 player in my car, like it was set up in my old one.. it makes my factory stereo think that my MP3 player is a cd changer. 40 gigs of music on the road. CDs just don't cut it anymore for me. My music is crystal clear and my car looks like it was never taken apart at all. Now it is truly my car. :)
In other news, I got an email today in response to one that I wrote in June 2004 to Floodgate Records, a record label who I wanted to partner with Zerophase. Apparently my email got lost in a vast black hole (their PR person's inbox) but she found it this morning, responded, and is immediately putting ZP on the media list for all new releases from them and is sending the 3 new cds that just came out so we can start reviewing them. That's really cool.
Now it's back to work, I guess. |

| Bad day? |

Just in case you've had a rough day, here is an 8-Step stress management technique recommended in the latest psychological texts.
1. Picture yourself near a stream. 2. Birds are softly chirping in the cool mountain air. 3. No one but you knows your secret place. 4. You are in total seclusion from the hectic place called "the world." 5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity. 6. The water is crystal clear. 7. You can easily make out the face of the person you're holding underwater. 8. See! You're smiling already. via the big noob man, that was so worth me posting again. i guess i'm back.
or something.
and i'll post song lyrics if i'd like to (this is for you, emily!) for this is MY journal. Sometimes a good song is about all that gets me through a day. I live music. |
